One organic form balances on another - the top one is oiled to bring out the beautiful grain of this piece of cedar, and the bottom one is burnt and ebonised, so that it 'disappears' when viewed from a distance, leaving the upper part appearing to float above the ground.
Few people initially appreciate that this 3 seater garden bench is carved from a single block of cedar of lebanon.
